Hi folks,
Imagine this:
I'm using Ableton for mixing (not my own music, i mean as a mix engineer for hire)
Once i have my mix done and dusted, i want to export it. But i want to export a very exact range. Say from half a second before the first sound until the last delay at the end has died away.
And i want to be able to do this repeatedly, so if the client asks for a mix tweak, i can open the project, do the tweak, and export the exact same region again.
Can anyone suggest the best workflow for this?
So far, the best way i can find is to create a dummy midi clip and trim it the exact length i want to export. Then, when it comes time to export, i do right-click > loop selection, select the loop, then i can export that exact region.
But me's-a-thinking, there must be a better way than this hack?
cheers! ...... Mr D

Hi, all you need to do is select the full range you want to export and then export it.
