Scroll wheel for sliders and knobs and....

I cannot seem to figure this out, but I can not fine adjust the knobs and sliders using the scroll wheel.
Also I really think it is time ableton gave us 100 percent custom hot keys.... It makes the workflow so much better. Less clicks and less mouse equals faster and more efficient workflow. Also, I would love to see a better transport bar with rewind and fast forward functions.
I am a Cubase User and have been for many years. I wanted to play with Ableton because I think it is the next best DAW for creativity. So far I am enjoying it, but the workflow coulud be stepped up IMO. 100 Percent custom hotkeys is a must have.

Brought a trackball just for this purpose.
Would make life a lot easier.
