I am curious to the reasons why an Ableton Live Set should take so long to load.
I open Live 10, which takes on my computer about 10 seconds to load. Windows 10/16GB Ram/4790K CPU/Samsung 850EVO 1TB drive.
Then I open a Live Set, which takes 60 seconds to load! It has:
- one a capella audio track
- three really short guitar audio tracks (8 bars of guitar total)
- four audio tracks with cymbal crash/reverse cymbals fx.
- around 20 midi tracks (using only ableton live built audio effects), running Sylenth, Ableton Analog, NI Reaktor, Spire.

Re: Ableton Live Set Load Times
I suspect it’s the virtual instruments. To test, make copies of the live set with various instrument tracks deleted until you get a noticeable decrease in load time. That will point you to the culprit.

From my own experience it could be Reaktor as it needs to load Ensemble/Instrument which gets calculated/compiled realtime in the background.
