it would be amazing to have an option to manually assign MIDI mappings with text entry rather than have to use click-n-turn style mapping, i.e. after right-clicking a control and clicking "edit MIDI map" you could simply enter MIDI channel and CC value with keyboard OR after creating a mapping you could right-click on the mapping in the MIDI map panel and edit it there.
sometimes when lots of MIDI signals are flying all over the place it's impossible to create a new mapping as it's not feasible to try to halt all MIDI inputs except the new one (whether due to a complicated MIDI network or simply lack of mute options for MIDI signals). having a text-based MIDI mapping option would make MIDI integration much easier and more flexible than it currently is.
