Can't record midi with VST plug in, despite following Ableton instructions

Hi there,

I'm currently trying to use Output Arcade with Ableton. I've got Ableton to recognize it and have adjusted the Preferences settings accordingly. I've also followed instructions on Ableton's manual on setting up a midi track with the VST (Arcade) and setting up another midi track with MIDI From the Arcade track etc. but when I try to record there are no midi signals coming in, even though the volume gauge on the second midi track when I play notes in Arcade is going up and down. I've looked up countless youtube videos and done heaps of reading and nothing is helping. Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing? Thanks.

What instrument do you have in the MIDI track that you've got the Arcade outputting too?

I am having the same issue. I can turn the loops on using the computer keyboard but nothing records. I am showing signal coming in from Arcade. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
