Push functionality/usage question

Anyone use Maschine? In Maschine you have a keyboard/pad mode, keyboard mode allows you to play an instrument/melodic sample as you would on a keyboard. To reiterate you can select a sound in the drum kit that is maybe a horn for example, switch to keyboard mode and instead of just triggering the same pitch you can play melodic lines using the same sample.

Is there a way to do this with Ableton kits? It seems like a pretty basic element but I haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Another way of doing the same thing I guess would be browsing to the kit sample you want in the browser and drag that into a simpler.

Unfortunately that's not the way Push works, it's something I'd like to see as well though.

Ahh, well thanks for the sanity check, I thought i was just overlooking the feature.
