Generic Controller : access VST selected parameter

Post by Antigone » Fri Nov 22, 2019 1:06 am

Hello,

I think I've looked everywhere, but I didn't find a way to access the "selected" parameter in an external VST.

This should theoretically be possible since Ableton Live automatically updates the "automation" value (to do it, open an external VST, active automation mode in Ableton Live, and start playing with parameters in the VST window: the selected automation is updated accordingly).

I would like to do a "generic" single MIDI controller, that takes control of any parameter I've clicked on. Maybe like ONE: https://4live.me/post/175317037723, but it doesn't seem to work with VSTs.

I think I'm clearly not the first one who would want this kind of controller.

(I've never tried Push: can it do it? Or any other controller?)

Thanks!
