performing live (set list)
performing live (set list)
I want to be able to have a set list and go from one song to another quickly. Loading up each song takes around 15-20 seconds, which is about 10 seconds too long. The songs are very simple. I play guitar live and there is a drum track and perhaps one other track for other sounds.
I know there must be a way to do this. Also, none of the songs are the same tempo.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: performing live (set list)
I use one liveset per song as well, but made my own loader / setlist in Max/MSP, it makes it significantly faster and easier.
Depending on your setup, you could also have all your songs on the same liveset.

I'll have to try that. One problem I think I'll have is that every song has a bunch plug-ins for the guitar. And they're different for each song.

Audio effect racks chains. And chain selector.

Re: performing live (set list)
Coupled with typing the BPM into the scene selector for the first scene of each song.

Sounds good. Thanks for the info.

You could try Space List to manage and control setlists. It works great for me: https://www.spaceghostplayback.com/downloads

Re: performing live (set list)
I wonder how many of us have created huge M4L devices to handle performing live and what the common features are that we have all added.
It's quite odd really when you think about it, considering the name of the application.

This trick also works with naming rows in clip view, live will automatically adjust your tempo.subparuser wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 1:51 pmCoupled with typing the BPM into the scene selector for the first scene of each song.
If you're sticking to arrangement view I think automating the tempo on the master channel to be a pretty foolproof way of making sure things are running at the right time.
