Project Tempo in Link mode?

Project Tempo in Link mode?

I am using Live 10 with an external sequencer in Link mode. When I change the tempo on the external sequencer the project tempo in Live does not change. I thought that when in Link mode I could change the tempo from my external sequencer and Live's tempo would change with it. Is this not the case? Is it possible to set Live so that it will follow my external sequencers tempo in Link mode?
