VSTs in 2 places

Post by BarryS » Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:48 am

Hello,
I'm struggling to get some of my VSTs to show up in Ableton Live 9.
I note that there are 2 locations (certainly on my PC)...
1) C > Program Files > Steinberg > VSTplugins...
2) C > Program Files (x86) > Steinberg > VSTplugins...
Does anyone know which one I'm supposed to point to, please?

X86 is for 32bit. and all depends if you use 64bit or not
Live 11, M1 Mac Mini, Push 2, Scarlett 18i20 & ADA8200, Softube Console 1 Mk2, Deepmind12, Hydrasynth, Cobalt 8M, Moog Subsequent 25, IK Uno Synth Pro, Plethora X3, Nord Drum 3P

Live is 64bit only now so will not work with any plugins in the x86 (32 bit) folder. Forget about that and any plugins you have that are only 32bit.
