Trigger several functions/changes with one button?

I'm trying to find a way to trigger several changes with the push of one foot switch or some other device. This to switch songs in a performance.

The way I have this setup is to have three audio tracks. One for the drums tracks, one for guitar and one for bass (I play the Chapman Stick).

For example:
start an audio clip
turn off one effects rack (used in the previous song)
turn another effects rack on (used in the next song)

I'm not even sure if this is the best way to switch from one song to another.

Any help - or point me in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated.
