Playback in Arrangement view always starts from beginning

When I select an area not from the beginning of my song from arrangement view no matter where I click in the arrangement, ableton always always plays from the beginning of the arrangement. I cannot figure out why it's set by default to play from the beginning. Does anyone else experience this in Ableton?

Forgot to and important detail that just before I had deleted time signature change automation that appeared out of nowhere, and a red label at the bottom of my screen saying "Arrangement Meter Changes Overridden" I deleted the automation and now I'm having this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem yet. Frankly, it's very annoying. Just wanted to let you know you're not the only one dealing with this issue. I'm going to try moving everything into a new project to see if that helps. I'll keep you posted.

Any Arrange marker can have “Play from here” status if you right-click the marker and select this.

Do you have such a marker at the start of the timeline?

I created a new project and moved all the tracks into it and then trashed the old project which resolved the issue for me. I may have had the "Play from here" flag selected, but there's no way for me to tell anymore.
