A little background:
I'm a solo performer. I play Chapman Stick and sing. Using Ableton, my guitar (the melody side of the stick) is sent to Ableton for effects (Helix Native, Eventide H3000, etc). For most songs there is a different patch (Helix Native, H3000, delays...) and a different percussion/drum track.
So my question is, would the Launchpad Mini be a good/fast way to change all of these things quickly (change Helix preset, change H3000 patch) and start a different drum track? I have a foot controller, but leaning over and tapping a few buttons is faster and more accurate than hitting several foot switches. I use the foot switches during the songs (my hands are kind of busy).
Any advice and or suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
kenn
Quick Launchpad Mini Advice/Question
Re: Quick Launchpad Mini Advice/Question
For something like this you can probably ‘test’ the concept with a qwerty keyboard. If it works there, you should be able to remap it all to a launchpad.
I think launching Scenes associated with all the appropriate changes might work well. Doing a Program Change usually requires at least launching a clip unless you use a max device. So having a full scene do all the desired changes should work out.
