I'm hoping someone might recommend some great speakers for a home desktop PC,
Can't be too large, my desk space is sort of limited, that's the only thing. I have space for a sub under my desk and about let's say about 6-10 inches (width) speaker size, (height doesn't matter)
basically just not wanting monster big speakers. but really high quality.... with a small-medium profile.
thanks for any tips!!!

So I assume Speakers as in monitor style speakers (for music) not just something like a Logitech speaker package which are decent, but not for music.
There is actually a pretty good range for around the $1k mark. I started off with KRK Rokit 8 15 years ago tho you can get the 6" if you need the room more, I find the 8 is better for a medium to larger room tho. In US $$$ they are around the $350 a pair
Still have the rokits but upgraded when I built a lift desk as they were 13KG per monitor and a bit too heavy for the position on the desk so good excuse to invest in a new set of better monitors so have a set of Adam Audio T7V monitors which are basically the entry level end of the Adam range which can get insane expensive but the whole reason I wanted these was for the crisp top end. They sound brilliant compared to the Rokits and when I A/B mixes with both sets I can hear the extra detail. They cost me $800AU ($500US) so not much more than when I purchased the rokits. There is loads of other options around for that cost, I personally went into my local music store to listen to them as I did originally and compared to Mackie and a few others, the crispness was what I wanted.

Although I'm very happy with my iLoud Micros considering the price/size, I certainly wouldn't recommend them to someone with a $1000 budget.kitekrazy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 5:40 amDon't have them but these get great reviews.AJ Dare wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 3:22 amI'm hoping someone might recommend some great speakers for a home desktop PC,

@OP if size is a big concern, consider looking into the iLoud MTM, the "big brother" of the iLoud Micro. They have gotten good reviews and seem to be one of the better option for a small form factor.
Personally, I'd really try to find space for a pair of 7" monitors with that budget, though.

For that much, you can get a decent pair of monitors.
If you aren't doing dance based music, you should be able to get a nice pair of 6 inch monitors.
For dance based music a good 8 inch pair will get you a nice bass response.
