fire next clip + clip update rate

Post by pixel » Sat Jul 23, 2005 7:14 am

I'd very much like the ability to use a midi message or key map message that fires the next clip of a track and one that fires the previous clip instead of having to assign separate key for all clips of a track. So - having 10 clips and going back and forth would be a lot easier and quicker for me.

Also, it would be very useful for me to be able to set the clip update rate to "next start of loop". In that way I have time to fire several clips before a new 4/8 bar period for instance.

Are you aware that you can navigate the scenes, therefore going up and down in the trcks, with two little buttons "previous scene" and "next scene". Those buttons are hidden, and only show in MIDI assignement mode.

thanks for you reply amo :-)

yeah I'm aware of that - but when I fire the next clip I don't want to fire the next clip of all of the tracks - so unfortunately your suggestion won't work as far as I can see..

I had a similar idea: it was having an option to have a clip ignore the Scene Launch. Perhaps that would work.

what I use is two buttons for going up and down in the scenes, then one button per track to fire the selcted clip on the chosen track. Those are hidden as well, they appear with KEY or MIDI assignement, in the place of the stop button on the tracks, just up the routing thing.
But maybe you new that and it doesn't work for you either....

Hey Amo

Thanks again for your reply :-)

Right now I'm trying out your suggestion at home (with no audio) - it seems to work pretty good!

Thanks a lot :-)
