There sure are a lot of broke people on these boards. Bummer. I'm working two jobs as a researcher/writer at a university, which affords me plenty o' cash to indulge my gear lust. Don't always have as much time to *use* the bloody gear, but I get by. Usually have to start my music stuff around 11 p.m. after 14 hours of dayjob. So buck up, lad!

That's my grind as well. It makes you squeeze as much as you can out of that hour and a half, until your eyes get too tired to squint at waveforms any longer...

Some people want to many things at once an dont look at how long it will take to pay for it all. Having self control during those moments of gearlust can be pretty grooling. You have to know when to talk or walk your self out of times of temptation. Most people money problems occur becuase of our lack of self control.

 Get a credit card, use it ONLY for Live upgrade and pay it off ASAP, then close the credit card account.

Forge, do you possibly think that it might not have been the best idea to be one of the Live 5 beta testers?

Now you're even dreaming about ways to get it. Man that's bad!

Mind you, I dreamed I met the pope last night (seriously), he was sitting at a small table, outdoors in an empty field (like monty python) He seemed alright, looked at me and smiled! 8O

What does that mean! I'm not catholic or remotely religious. Maybe he want's me to pay a kind of pennance for getting my credit card out so quickly before payday.

oh definitely not - In fact I barely got involved in the testing (not like the last couple of times anyway) just because I knew it would end in tears

Which pope - the dead one or the new one? If it's the dead one maybe he's calling you...

Or maybe if you have a follow up one where he quizzically looks at you and says 'lemon curry?" then you'll know it's really monty python.
