Opened Ableton this morning and found that a project of mine was taking extremely long to open. Force closed it, tried opening another same problem. Opened the three latest ones and they open and function perfectly. And now some very old projects will open while some won't. It's about half and half.
I have went and moved my preferences to reset Ableton, I have tried opening backups and keep getting the "something has gone wrong" crash notification if I wait more than 10 minutes while waiting for a project to open. These all worked yesterday. Didn't do anything but download Skyrim via Steam so I don't think that would have affected anything. I can also view my stems when I navigate the current project feature on the left but when I hit view stems, my blue ring starts moving and Ableton gets hung up. Just extremely weird that I can open 4 to 5 different sets within that project and they function perfectly.
Kind of freaking out due to its my album that is due soon. Please help!!

I also have removed the plugins and removed every external device in my pc and nothing works.

Details can help:
- OS
- Live Version
- VST's in use
Things to try:
- Try and drag a file into live rather than use the open menu
- If you have VST plugins, you can try and remove these one by one from the plugin folder when you load live to see if the project opens as it can often be the source of failures... If you have any non-legit plugins I would suggest starting there.
- Always make incremental saves of your project whenever you add a new track or plugin. Who cares if you end up with 2000 of the same file, just do this like gospel and if you have this kind of issue you can easily jump back to prev versions and see if anything opens
- Get into the habbit of always rendering out a project after each session so you have something in the event you have issues

Only have legit plugins but I also removed every plugin from my custom folder. So when I would even open the projects that are working, all the plugins would be disabled. So the problem can't be the plugins. I also have a at least 50 saves of each track, each back up from the current project that won't open either. It doesn't make any sense. I even copied the whole project and opened the new project copy set and that got hung up. Really counting on ableton support to be able to decipher something for me within my project file or crash report because I just don't understand.
