Understanding Phase occurrences with "Vinyl Distortion" and "Frequency shifter"

Hey Live community!

I am freshening up some hihats and using Ableton's vinyl distortion I get a weird read out on the vectorscope.

My Hihats are a nice "ball of wool" as it should be on the vectorscope - correlation is in the +range so all is good!

But as soon as I start using and tweaking the "vinyl distortion" app in Ableton, the vectorscope shows something weird - see following screenshot:

Looks like the phase is tilted to the left and mirrored horizontally

Then when I just load an Ableton "frequency shifter" - - !!!without changing any settings!!! - - the phase changes to a nice "ball of wool" again.
