Mackie Baby HUI in Live

Hi,

I can't seem to configure Ableton Live to use a Mackie Baby HUI as a Control Surface.

I can see that the three other Mackie Control Surfaces are there (MackieControl, MackieControlClassic and MackieControl XT) but not the BHUI protocol.

Does anyone know of a way of making this work?

I also just picked up a baby HUI, in the process of connecting it to Live currently. If anyone has experience with this, any guidance would be appreciated

After some digging around, it seems the baby hui uses a mackie-specific control protocol that isn't supported by Live. Which is really too bad, since inexpensive motorized faders would be most a most welcome addition. I got my baby hui working nicely with PreSonus Studio One software, which I wasn't too keen on at first but isn't too bad. Even with the free version I'm liking having a separate daw window for mixing tracks and automating outside of Live.
