First of all the PSEUDO "Key-acsess" (for templates....) is not a REAL a APP_WIDE keymanager for my OWN wish-settings. Lot of things i cant NOT assign, and/or have to do in other "templates"....
There are soo much "ABLETON-TEAM HOLY_PREFERENCES" (maybe they even WASTE much of dev-money, for such "teams"" who decide which shortcut should do this in GENERALL on ALL maschines, by all user....)....
I am NEVER INTERSTING in your "sync tooo xy", I am extrem seldom interesting in your overdub, capture back...., I never need a special-Key for this. Other people are maybe happy for this... and thats the POINT: ME and other are not the same: There is NEVER a "All fits all"!
So please ABLETON give us AT LAST the possibility to create our own REAL shortcuts! (eg. i use U and cmd+U, also w/H/Z/x... very often.... i Would have this APP-HOLY_Keyz.... to settings, which make more SENSE (for me, i can FOR MY OWN better handle..... ) There is NOOOO REALLY reason for NOT implanted a simple PERSONAL-short-cut-manager... i dont know how much this will take... but > 90% other apps have such thing!
2.
A simple BOUNCE (here/ to new track/ to whatever i have DEFAULT....in PREFERENCES....) is also STANDARD (even in free-DAW-apps) - but not in live. Nope, all pseudo "short ways" via freeze.... needs lot more clicks....
3.
BTW: I dont need this millions-of sub-sub-folders for "crop", "consolitadet", "Freezed", "recordered here or there....." - In the opposite... i HATE this "browsing"/clicking..... WHY not AN general PREFERNCE OPTION:
A.
Keep/split new audio in folders like Live 10...."
B.
ALL "new audio stuff" in the (Main) project-folder but with PRE or POSTfix like cropped, consilated, recorderd.... nice would be "baskets" as filname-extra....
4.
Every time i switch to my USB_headphones.... or vice versa.... i become this "audio off" and i have to set lot of things wide-windowed in prferences... Why not ONE time save in PREF, If this "main driver" than this "out-master(s), than this latency, than this KHZ-setting....).... I save this "configuration" and i save some "other configurations" and i can switch via Right-Click on the CPU/audio-meter via these SETTINGS with ONE (right-click). i can choose one of my "configurations" with ONE CLICK exact here... (The next step would be an automatic "detection" ... OSX changes the "out/in"... to setting x.... LIVE will follow to its TRANSLATED-setting or just LINKED setting....)... (Of corse ist not possible during PLAY... but its possible in STOP-times....)
For all this old guys who love it "oldscool" and "never change a running system" and her ONE compute-out-end-gear-listen-posibilitys.... keep the old behavior as DEFAULT, but for us "audio-driver-surfer" implement such a function as soon and as "clickless" as possible. OWNER Saved (one click) COMPLETE CONFIGIURATIONS would be the best way!
5.
Make .asd-files (the "taggs") "invisible" OS- file-manager
IF you opertaing a lot of REAL file-level in finder/explorer.... the "asd"files / which are just "taggs" to the REAL parent file...) makes file-operations unnesscary complicated (at least are very disturbing the overview...)
6.
shortys (plural) for Plug-IN-VISIBILTY
Yeah i know "cmd+alt-p" and the "option" hide/show trackwise.... But this is not really useful if you work with lot overlapping 3rd-party....
There could be so much TEMPORALLY views i can imagine with cmd/alt/ctrl--- or combis of this.... (or special OWN user-shortys...)... or even "intelligent" by group/send/master....
And please SAVE the VISIBLE-state/position... of each "window "for re-open (BTW: the PREF-window as FLOAT in a sved-remember-postion.... would also be nice)
7.
I dont need new FX/instrumenst/conetent.... leraning content.... PlEASE; PLEASE; PLEASE.... do the next uptdate with FOKUS of such "SMALL" lGUI/effiency- improvements! On this side ABLETON is lacking since years and yers...
