Updating Max For Live

Hi,
M4L tells me that version 8.1.8 is available.
How do I update?
Can I just use the package on the cycling 74 website (https://cycling74.com/downloads) or is there a different path because it is bundled with Live?

Sounds like I then have to install the new version separately and hope it recognizes the suite-bundle-license.
