when dropping notes using no loop and no warp, the notes are recorded shorter in the arranger than played. veru weird!

please solve it

sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. You drop a clip into arranger with loop and warp off. What you do then? Recording into another track using master out?

I have setup a session with all kinds of clips with keyboard-mappings

I press record and start playing the keys

When I playback what I have recorded a few clips sound shorter than what I've played. when I switch to the arranger, I also see that those clip are playing back shorter than how I played them.

sorry but I still have problems to understand the problem. Could you give me a step by step instructions of the things you do getting this problem?

Especially I need to know from which source you record ('Master Out', 'Live In' or ReWire).

Futhermore I don't know what you mean with "sound shorter than what I've played". But don't worry about that, I'm really stupid sometimes -:).

Hi,

Thanks for your patience! Here we go:

- I added a loop in a Clip Slot and setup a key map for it
- I changed disabled the Loop and Warp switches
- Launch Mode was on Toggle
- Quantisation on Global (16ths I was using)
- Then I pressed record and started playing using my keyboard-keys which were mapped.
- So I am not rendering, no I am just simply recording an arrangement (maybe this confused you in my previous replys)
- When I played back that arrangement, the Clips seemed to be recorded shorter than like I played them

I found out how to solve it:
- Enable the loop switch
- Changed the loop length
- Disabled the loop switch

It seems that if you change the looplength with the loopswitch on and then put it off and changing the loop length, the length is not recorded right (the length is taken like it was when the loopswitch was on). Changing the loop length can only be done with the loopswitch on.

It's really hard to explain. Maybe you understand it better, I hope so. I can't understand that this is logical, I think it's a small bug. The workaround works nice I have to say.

yes, if you can solve it, better. I don't like workarounds too much, because I always seem to forget about them when I run into trouble again....
