Hey folks,
I am creating a bass track, and I want it to sweep down an octave over the course of eight beats. I thought this would be easy but no.
Can someone tell me the device and maybe some cursory guidance???
Thanks!

Can you not record the pitch bend as Automation?
Live 11, M1 Mac Mini, Push 2, Scarlett 18i20 & ADA8200, Softube Console 1 Mk2, Deepmind12, Hydrasynth, Cobalt 8M, Moog Subsequent 25, IK Uno Synth Pro, Plethora X3, Nord Drum 3P

Than you for the reply!
I guess the answer is no since I have spent the last 1/2 hour trying to find something that would show me of what you speak, and have not found a thing.
I found something about the E icon for envelope. I create a track and do not see the icon at the bottom of the clip window.
Thanks

Re: audio effect that makes an octive sweep
In that same timeframe you could have simply done as suggested and automated whatever instrument you are using for the Bass to sweep the pitch bend which would do exactly what you ask and is the way to do it. If you want the sound to sweep down/up through an octave, you would set your pitch bend control range to +/-12 notes then record or draw a sweep of this.
Doing it with an effect would require the effect to transpose the incoming signal which is possible but would not sound as clean as doing it at the source.

Are you using a synth? A sample? An electric bass?

Just a drawn note inside the midi note editor.
I am using Live 11 Beta, but honestly I am too much of a newb to know the difference..
I am using Wavetable to get the bass sound I want.
