Hello everyone,
So I bought this new PC which I though would be more than enough to do some basic producing on ableton
Aspire A715-75G
Windows 10
Intel Core i7-10750H @ CPU 2,60 GHz
16g Ram
soundcard:
Focusrite 2i2 2nd
with Focusrite USB ASIO
at 256 samples buffersize
44100 khz
But then I start playing one complex instrument with lots of reverb and CPU goes over the top with sound glitches and everything,
I have look at all the ways to reduce CPU usage on this article
https://bandzoogle.com/blog/20-ways-to- ... production
still does the same thing,
help please D:

Yoy can see if here are some additional things: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/ ... Windows-10
And you can try LatencyMon to see what the problem might be...... https://www.filecroco.com/download-latencymon/

Hi, my friend is also experiencing very similar issue with the i7 10750H CPU.
We have tried many things including Throttlestop utility and tweaking settings in BIOS trying to disable underclocking, power saving states and other configurations.
But still, Ableton starts to crackle with just a few instances of Serum with the unison setting bumped to max. We did this as a stress test. On my PC with Ryzen 1700 the CPU meter peaks at around 30%.
On my friend's PC with the i7 10750H the CPU meter peaks above 100% and the audio starts to crackle and distor heavily.
He's using the SSL 2 USB-C audio interface and has buffer size set to 1024 samples. Enabling safe mode in the interface option helps a bit.
We tried Live 10 and also Live 11. Both versions produce the same behavior resulting in audio distortion.
Do you have any ideas how to solve this issue?
edit:
The model if his laptop is MSI Leopard GL65 10SEK

Check windows power management, ensure cpu is set to max usage etc.
