armed track increases in volume level even with no input

Post by romariozen » Wed Mar 02, 2022 6:36 pm

Hi,
When I arm an internal track (bus), for no reason it rocks the volume meter up despite the fact that the incoming route is set to No Input, and even if I switch the monitor mode to "auto" or even to "off", situation doesn't change.
My bus track is a premaster, the level is close to 0 dBFS, but if I arm it occasionally, it hits 6 dBFS above 0, moreover, the phisical volume doesn't increase at all.
What could be the culprit? Maybe I just don't grasp something and it's not a bug

Inter core i7
Windows 10
Ableton Suite latest v
Focusrite 2i4

Thanks

Are you talking about a sudden spike when arming it, or a constant increase?

I am talking about constant increase. My premaster shows 0 dBFS, for example, with the limiter on it. Right after I arm the track, the level hits above 4-6 dBs and no perceivable increase in loudness at all.
