Am I The Only One?
Hey guys
Am i the only one thats really unimpressed with automatic warp markering? I thought it would make my life a lot easier. If anything its just causing me more issues!
I love all the other additions like beat repeat, and mp3 support. Even the new logo is cool! But warp marking really doesnt do it for me.
I know about the menus like where to put 1.1.1 and rewarping. But its not great. Can anyone recommend anything else to try?
Cheers.

So far, I am truly amazed at autowarping. Friday, my buddy came over with an idea to remix a Johnny Cash song. I bought the song off itunes, burnedit, then sucked it into LIVE. It lined up perfectly with no adjustments. I then did the same thing yesterday with another rock song - Perfectly lines up. I was shocked! This process used to take me over an hour!
I haven't tried the new feature with house tracks yet, but I have to believe that, if it works this well with rock - house has to be no problem.

To all of you guys who say it works fine: did you ever bother to have a look at the place of the first marker?
Because I have yet to see ONE autowarp marker which doesn't screw up the attack.
And if you can't hear that...
My 2 cents on this: Live does a fine job (most of the time) when it comes to BPM guessing, but it does a crap job at putting markers. And the results when correcting these (using Live's tools) are a mixed bag at best (once again have a look at the position of markers).

you mean that the markers are positioned at the maximum of an attack transient, and not at the start of it? you can solve this by selecting all markers and moving them a little backwards, or use the delay offset and move the track forwards about 15 - 20 msTuur wrote:To all of you guys who say it works fine: did you ever bother to have a look at the place of the first marker?

Forgot about that one, I'll try the first trick (the second would still mess up the first attack right?).olafmol wrote:you mean that the markers are positioned at the maximum of an attack transient, and not at the start of it? you can solve this by selecting all markers and moving them a little backwards, or use the delay offset and move the track forwards about 15 - 20 ms
