I am trying to find a way to use a knob as a sort of launchpad replacement. So instead of launching a new clip using a launchpad, I would like to seamlessly be able to move between loops using a knob.
I tried to do this using a rack of simplers with each loop. I mapped the chain selector to a knob and set ranges for each simpler, but the problem with this approach is that only the simpler in the currently selected range will play when I launch a clip. Any simpler outside of the current range will not start playing when I launch a clip, so I am unable to blend between the other simplers. I need to be able to simultaneously launch say 7 loops/simplers with one clip that I can then mix between using a knob.
Any ideas?

Re: Using a Knob to Shift Between Loops?
I found a solution.
Basically I use the Smart XL knob control device from Isotonik. With this device I am able to map volume ranges to dedicated tracks for each clip. Basically I have 7 tracks each with one of my clips and I can set volume ranges for each track that I can then knob through. I use midi clips mapped to that same knob to jump to particular volume ranges to activate the clip I want to play.
