Automate Parameter Reset Between Tracks?

I use Ableton 11 to play multiple tracks within a single live set by launching scenes and clips from session view and use various MIDI, audio and Max For Live devices to manipulate the tracks as they play using a Launch Control XL and Launchpad Pro (examples here https://www.youtube.com/@alienalarms).

At the end of each track it's not uncommon for different tracks to be pitch shifted, filtered and effected in different ways. What I'd like to do is be able to reset all of the effects and parameters between tracks so each start from a known state and aren't affected by the state of devices at the end of the previous track.

I've tried adding a scene which launches a "Reset" clip on each track which I play between each track. The reset clips use clip automation to turn the effects on or off and reset their parameters as needed, but these clips don't seem to work as I'd like. I can see the effects being reset as the clips play, but then their values go back to whatever the MIDI controller had set them to at the end of the previous track when I launch the first scene of the next track.

I've also tried different takeover modes and these work as expected when changing the parameters from their initially loaded value, but not when changing a parameter that has been reset with clip automation.

I've done some googling and read the manual and it seems that manual parameter changes override clip automation, is that what's happening here? Is there any way to achieve the reset effect behaviour that I'd like?

Kapture (https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/kapture/) does what I need, but it takes over a minute to reset the devices I need reset, which makes it impractical for live use.

It looks like sending CC messages via loopback MIDI from reset clips (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=214885&p=1658646) is a useable solution.
