Possible to disable File >> Save option?

Hi All,

Is there any way to completely disable the "Save" option on the File menu? This would force me to either "Save As" or "Save a Copy" which I always, always do, because I don't like accidentally saving over something with something that's new and broken.

Maybe there's a better workflow than what I'm doing, I've been using Ableton since v3 or v4.

Basically when I make progress on a set, I'll "Save As" and tack on a number (002, 003, etc.) to the file name.

Again, maybe this is an old school way of doing it but I'm curious to know if there's another / better way than this?

If not, it would be great to disable "Save" to protect me from myself.

Live automatically keeps backups of previous versions of sets (up to 10 I think) so you could just revert to one of those if there's a problem. And just use "save as" for major changes. See here: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... ckup-Sets-

You could reassign the keyboard shortcut CMD+S to 'Save Live Set As...' and assign another keyboard shortcut to 'Save Live Set'.
