Live 4.1.4 won't open in OSx 10.3.9!!!

I just updated my mac os today from 10.3.7 to 10.3.9.

I was running ableton 4.1.2 fine on that system. once i updated to 10.3.9 i couldn't open up Live.

I downloaded Live 4.1.4, but it still won't open.

Help!!!

Hi CraigD,

what exactly happens?
Do you get a meesage box? Does it crash on startup?

it just stays stuck on the opening page with the black box and ableton symbol. it says at the bottom...initializing inputs and outputs.

is there a way i can convert my computer back to 10.3.7 and Live 4.1.2?

Is anyone else having this problem? I'm in 10.3.9 and 4.1.3 and thinking about going to 4.1.4 because of ReWire problems in 4.1.3.

Hi CraigD,

Have you tried if if your audio and MIDI devices are running fine under 10.3.9?
You can check if they appear in the "Audio and MIDI Setup" utility from OS X.

Furthermore you can try to start from fresh preferences by renaming the old ones. So please locate the Live 4.1.4 preferences file:
"~/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 4.1.4/Preferences.cfg"
Rename this file to "Old_Preferences.cfg" and restart Live 4.1.4 again.

you do not need to delete Live 4.1.3 if you want to try Live 4.1.4. You can have them both installed parallel.
