Midi Controllers not working as Remote Controller on recently purchased MBP, on Windows/older MBP it works fine

Hi!

I recently bought a new MBP (M2 chip, etc) to accommodate my growing live set for vocal processing. I use an AKAI MidiMix and an Arturia Minilab 3 w/ Clyphx Pro to get a lot of flexibilty with minimal space. On my older device and my windows PC it still works as it used to, but on my new MBP i can only get the track midi indicator (top right) to show in/output when pressing buttons. The normal Midi in/out lights remain off.

Restarting/plugging in different ports doesn't work. It's really weird, because I can plug it in my older laptop and it starts working immediately, even though all the midi settings are exactly the same.

Could someone point me in the right direction on this? I'm losing my mind!

Thanks in advance!

You may need to update the midi drivers for your hardware on the new Mac. Ableton might be seeing it as a midi controller, but without the controller's current drivers from the manufacturer. Or the news could be worse: the manufacturer hasn't yet updated the driver to work with the new Macs, but hopefully that's not the case.
