"Loop freeze"

Post by baseinstinct » Sun Aug 20, 2023 12:16 am

Is there a way to do some sort of background freeze of heavily processed audio clip?

Here is the context. I normally do arrangement still before the kik drum clip is ready, so as the project grows, kick track gets lots of effects, sometimes to the point of burdening the CPU (on the age old computer).
Freezing the track would create a bulky loop multiplied dozens of times - no need given there are no phaser types of effects.
What would be the quickest way to replace the audio loop with one with imprinted all the effects added to that track?

Wavelab would do but that is a lot transferring presets across the platforms. Be great to have such a functionality in Ableton, something like "Loop freeze", with daw recognising loop, processing it once and only multiplying copies of the new clip, but that's A12 at best.

how to do that manually in Live most quickly?
