Where/how to install Max for live devices

I’m new to Live 11 suite and have downloaded the max for live devices of the website. I don’t have enough room on my hard drive to have them on my OS drive .can I move them to my external sample drive? Can I instal them from there? Some are instruments and pretty big.

You can put them where you want. Just make sure, the folder is added in LIVE`s browser.
