Anyone actually use the "learn" button?

Post by Aevai » Fri Sep 01, 2023 10:28 am

"Learn – Here you can launch lessons to learn about Push’s new features. You can access links to further learning materials, such as video tutorials and the manual, using the QR code."
Seems a bit strange and unnecessary to have a button on the Push dedicated to this? Surely there would be some better use for an extra hardware button.

Yep, can't disagree with you!
I do use it ("remap" it) with M4L, though, so it's quite welcome to have "spare" buttons like this one (I'm counting the User and Lock buttons as "spare" too).

How do you remap it? Can you share an example? And what are you using it for?

Using M4L, I'm grabbing it and then observe it so I can see when it's pressed or not.
I remapped it to turn on/off the currently selected device as I never liked the Mute+device button gesture. That's something I was doing with P2 too for many years.
I'll publish this device, but there's currently a bug with it only in Controller mode (i.e works perfectly in Standalone) so let's see if this can be solved quickly.

I'm guessing it is still work in progress. I'm thinking their goal is to make a comprehensive manual built in. So for unfamiliar it can be a great thing.

I don't think it is strange or unnecessary as this is a very complex device and people will want to learn how to use it without cracking open a manual.
