Live hangs with VST3 synths presets

I have been experiencing a problem with Ableton Live since at least two update releases. When I browse presets for VST3 instruments (particularly Korg synthesizers), Live hangs and I have to force quit it. However, AU and VST instruments with the same synthesizers work fine. Overall, the experience with VST3 in Live is a mess.

I've tested Korg Polysix and Monopoly VST3s on my Macs and they seem to work fine... are you using latest versions of these plugins? I'm on version 2.4.2.0 for these...

I open VST Synth's Gui and browse its preset list. Doing it it takes forever to change preset, as if something wrapped it.
I have all the latest releases both of Live and VST3c plugins. It does the same with Spire and other Synths.

Really strange… I’m assuming you’re nou using Rosetta…

I’m using a different macOS version but would surprise me if that would make a difference…

Did you try resetting Live?

How do you reset Live?
I also unassigned all MIDI-related peripherals in the MIDI menu preferences (I have Python scripts and M4L controls in Mackie Control midi menu), but I'm still stuck.

Back to report I did reset Live, and nothing changed. Today, out of frustration, I even upgraded to Ventura OS, with no results.

Did you install the plugins and presets in their default location or somewhere else?

Can you try changing presets in a different DAW to see if it causes any issues?

If you’re using the vst3 version of those plugins, you will have this issue. It’s not really going to resolve from un and re installing things. It is a known issue.

Is it? Can you provide any information to support your statement?

OP has problems with all VST3s and particularly the KORG ones.
@cids already mentioned not having issues. I had no trouble browsing VST3 presets for myself as well. This includes the KORG plugins.

Thank you for the replies. In Cubase they all work without problems. It's a Live thing.
Is there any official word on this?

When you install the mod wave or wave state plugins, they have Release Notes. It is the first paragraph of the release notes for multiple recent releases.
