Re: Delete Automation for External Instrument in Standalone
Hi there,
It’s not possible to do this on a knob-by-knob basis with an external synth unfortunately. It’s either delete all automation per clip or nothing at all.
Automation with external synths is kinda touch and go anyway - I.e. sometimes I think I’ve deleted all automation from a clip only to realise that some residual automation remains.
I do think they’ll introduce a better way to edit automation (both internal and external) in future, but until that point, no luck.
I get around this limitation by recording midi notes (I.e. the phrase I want to record), then modulating and recording the output into an audio clip (as opposed to recording the modulation to midi). It gets you the same result pretty much.
