Hi,
I am only just gettign started with Ableton Live Lite (which came with my ocusrite Scarlett interface).
I've got a playback problem, and already checked many videos and websites to troubleshoot this before coming here.
I have successfully recorded a few audio test snippits (audio input - guitar), and levels look good, on the Scarlett and on Ableton tabletop meters, but they will not play back through my speakers.
The most obvious place to look is in the Preferences menu, then Audio, and look at Audio Output Device box/field where I would presumably select my output device. But THERE IS NO AUDIO OUTPUT BOX[/b] or field in my audio preferences section. I don't mean that my device isn't listed, I mean that the field offering a menu of whatever devices are available doesn't even appear on the workstaton.
I have also checked monitor settings and and made sure " scene " isn't engaged.
Strangely, when I first opened the software there was a sample file that played back correctly, through my speakers, but when I opened it today to start playing, that file seems gone, and I can't find it any more.
So perhaps there is somewhere else to look, but not even having the basic output box to select a device, I think there's a problem with my download / installation or pilots.
Any thoughts or help on the subject woudl be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Tom
No audio output device box / field visible in Live Lite
