Ableton can't open ALS file but Bitwig does

Isn't this ridiculous? I can't open the project that I'm continuing, Ableton keeps crashing but Bitwig opens the Ableton file without giving a crash. I can't use Ableton currently. I prepared a crash report and sent a mail to Ableton support but no answer for 2 days.

This is shameful honestly. Ableton can't open its own project file but another DAW can.

What have you tried ?

Have you updated all the 3rd party plugin you use in that project ?

It's often because of a 3rd party plugin so I would move the one you use in that project out of the plugin folder on your system so it cannot be loaded and make Live crash... either remove them one by one or all at the same time and put them back one by one (and try to open your project each time)...

This is the first thing I would do to narrow which plugin is problematic...

Agreed, this kind of thing is usually down to an issue with one or two plug ins not being current. Definitely a good place to start.

Have a look at the log text file, maybe some info about what plugin / io operation did the crash

None of your guesses was the problem. All my plugins are original and updated.
