Push 2 - Expression Control mapping

Post by beebeeveevee » Thu Feb 08, 2024 9:54 pm

Hi everyone

Is there a way to map parameters to expression control from Push 2?

I can load the Expression Control device and change its parameters, but I can't map anything to it (e.g. I can say that I'd like control 1 to be aftertouch, and set the min / max, etc, but I can't actually map what it is modifying from Push).

Is there any way to do this on Push 2 (or even on Push 3)?

Thanks!

dang! That's a shame.

From what I've read, I guess it's not something that would be possible, either (something to do with the limitations of how Push works on a fundamental level...?)

Catching up on this (and there are other threads about this) - I find I'm able to set the Expression Control target on Live (desktop), then transfer the project to Push 3 and that mapping is preserved. But I can't (currently) change it or map differently/new solely on the Push - the 'target' item is absent. I want it.

Yes, that's not possible atm.
