How to Hotswap Sample in existing Simpler Instance

Hello, I have issue on the latest push 3 standalone firmware with Ableton 12 to hot swap only the sample in an existing simpler instance.

I have simpler with a sample loaded on the track - pressing the hot swap button and choosing a new sample there always replaces the existing simpler instance with a completely new one (so all envelope, filter settings and so on are gone).

Basically I am looking for the HotSwap function that is in Ableton directly in the Waveform view (bottom right) in a Simpler Device and how to access this on Push 3.

It's been discussed quite a lot, and there's nothing you can do about it at the moment.

Thanks for the reply. Damn that is bad to hear, I recently moved to standalone and am honestly amazed how well everything is though our overall - but missing hot swapping samples in a simpler instance is such a big oversight :-/ would have expected just shift+hotswap for example to do it while simpler being selected

This is something I really need, I would like to be able to swap a sample in a drum rack kit without deleting all the macro mappings and setting etc. surely this has to be implemented eventually

Not optimal, but I kind of found where half of the issue is coming from.

If you load a simpler via the User Library or Samples Tab, if you then hot swap later on you at least get to the correct place already in the browser and can step through samples. Only if you load the simpler initially via Samples in the Collections Tab it always goes back to the start of the browser instead

Still also with this it always replaces the whole simpler instance when choosing a new sample and does not only update the sample.

Yeah, that is puzzling behaviour! I think it should be more consistent too
