Anyone having issues with exporting in live 12? I export all the time and never had issues in 11. Now export times are very slow and it appears some VSTs (i'm not sure what else it would be) won't export. I'm using all the same techniques, plugins etc. The only thing that has changed is the Live version. Anyone else have weird issues exporting?

it gets weirder. I tried freezing & flattening the track I think might be the issue (which is a M4L device). When I freeze and flatten, I no longer have audio on ANY track. I can see the device meters working but nothing makes it past the device. this is so weird.

this seems to be a VST3 issue. Anyone know of VST3 issues in 12?

Maybe the Max 4 Live device is not compatible with Live 12?

I thought that. But I've narrowed it down to VST3 plugins. For example, if I use meldaproduction eq (which I use all the time) I have this problem. It's also an issue when freezing & flattening a track. It makes zero sense to me.

i have found the solution , you have to be sure all tracks are rooted to : "MAIN"

this is not solved. why would you post solved?

All tracks are routed to main and working. The issue is 2 fold:

1. when exporting the tracks don't export
2. if you try to flatten/export one of the 2 scenarios happens:
- sometimes the flattened track has an empty audio file. This is after a lengthy flatten time (ie ableton is "thinking"/processing but nothing happens)
- either there is an audio file or not after flattening, but all other tracks are now mute. I can see the device meters peaking but for some reason the aduo does not make it past what appears to be any vst3 plugin

This is all very odd as I have not changed my system and I export regularly.

I referenced the above thread in my support case as well.

For now, I just avoid what I know to be problematic plugins. Which is really annoying.
