This covers all of my “this is annoying” gripes (e.g. needing to fire up my laptop any time I wanted to change a macro) and almost all of my “this would be nice” wishlist (renaming collections! Default sets!).

All in all I’m very excited. Planning to dig into the beta later today.

Great news, and very close to my main gripes: MIDI mappings on the push and mapping modulators on the push. But I am sure the "map" function will be expanded to include these later. Just a shame they weren't included yet.

Sorry, I know the folk at Ableton are doing a lot of work and I don't want to appear ungrateful. So overall, yay! Great that progress is being made!

I must say that the updates to the look of the devices in regards to scrolling options vertically rather that left to right really invites me to noodle more on push as I see more options at the same time this way, also the button implementation feels better.

I love the dice to randomise macros, it really opens up the preset landscape a lot, it surprising how much variety you can get from changing the macros, wasn't sure about the placing of the ui at first but I got used to It quite quickly.

I wish I could select more than one option from each filter header in the browser filter on push ie: character dark & evolving. Maybe in a future update fingers crossed, plenty to go at for now, better get tagging some more stuff!

Just tried the beta update on my Push 3. Unfortunately it completely broke the audio interface functionality on my Windows 10 PC. The drivers no longer work and I tried everything from a full factory reset on my Push, rolling back the drivers, rebooting / shutting down my PC and trying different USB ports for the cable. All was fine before the update.

Reported it as a bug but I am curious to see if anyone else had this issue or has dealt with this in past updates.

EDIT: Uninstalling / Reinstalling Live resolves this problem. Gonna leave it up in case others run into this issue. Glad it was an easy fix :D

I believe that's right yes, not sure about mapping to a controller though

I must say the use of macro variations with drum racks when switching fast between different variations using the pad layout can be extremely satisfying and produce interesting results on the fly, great addition to push!

I’m not sure I’ve noticed this, though I did skip a beta version so I might not have seen the release notes. What do you mean, exactly? I’m intrigued.

Anyone able to confirm being able to map to external controllers via midi learn?

It's no a midi learn, it's for mapping devices parameters to macros.
You can use CC Control to control external synths and map CC Control's parameters to a rack macros though.

on instruments, where you would select a modulation type for example you can see more options as rather than scrolling left to right where part of the text is obscured you essentially get a list that cascades down and you can see 3 to 4 other options at the same time as the one in use
