Sustain pedal issue

Hi,

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or there's something I need to do.

I am using Ableton Live 12 and just upgraded my setup. I just purchased an Arturia Keylab 88 Mk3 controller with an M Gear sustain pedal.

When I try and record my midi tracks, the actual notes are recorded, but the sustain information doesn't show. Therefore every not is short. I can see the sustain pedal light up in the signal square in the top right corner of Ableton, but it's not recording the info.

The pedal polarity is correct. (I tried switching it and the notes would sustain until I clicked the note off, so I put it back)
I tried messing with the remote settings in the midi menu, and that didn't work.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong? It's 2024 why is this an issue!?
Thanks for any guidance.
Rich

I can assure you that it's not a Live issue.
So maybe it could be a problem with your M Gear pedal.
Have you already looked into the Midi Console of Arturia's Midi Control Center?
If your pedal works correct, you can see Midi messages when you're using the pedal.
Is this the case?

In MIDI Control Center

This shows when I press the pedal
In:B0 40 7F Ch1 CC 64 Sustain

And this message when released
In:B0 40 00 Ch1 CC 64 Sustain

Good! Your pedal works fine.
Um..last question -
In Live settings, did you tick the Track box of your Midi controller?
(Input ports: your Midi controller / Track)
If yes, I'm clueless what's going wrong.

Sustain information is not visible as note lengths. It's recorded as a MIDI ctrl message.
Go the the Envelope tab of the MIDI clip. At the bottom, select MIDI Ctrl in the first drop-down and 64: Sustain pedal in the second drop-down.
You should now see the sustain envelope.
