I've been hearing random tiny glitches and dropouts in my recorded audio tracks during playback for the last two days. It happens throughout the track in particular spots, but after 20 listens, it seems to happen or not happen in these spots randomly. When I hear it and then try to replay it in the same place, it's usually gone. Any idea what might be causing this? I wasn't hearing these glitches day before yesterday on the same sessions which were recorded two weeks ago, but all of my previously saved sessions are now having the same issue.
Troubleshooting I've done so far:
- New MacBook M3 OS is up to date
- Apollo Twin X hardware and firmware have been updated
- Ableton Live 12 current version updated again today (not the new beta version)
- Removed all plugins in session - CPU load is now 0
- Buffer size is 256
- Sample rate for this session is 48K, but it only has 4 audio tracks in it.
- Basically have done everything in this article https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... fer%20size.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the brand new Mac. Also don't think it's the audio interface because I hear the issue in bounced files when I listen on the iPhone. Bounced files from the same sessions were fine two days ago. Any thoughts or advice would be helpful.
Thanks for reading.
Random glitches and dropouts in audio track
Re: Random glitches and dropouts in audio track
ISSUE RESOLVED: In case anyone else is having this issue, the Ableton support team recommended that I reset Live, which completely resolved the issue. There’s an instructional video on YouTube which explains how to do this with a few simple steps.
