Has the build in NUC-Element effect on the performance of the Push 3 while connected to an computer?

Hello guys!

I can't make a decision between buying the Standalone version and the normal version. I wouldn't have any advantage of the standalone due to its 2,5h battery lifetime. However, i'm wondering if the Push profits from the build-in processor. When it does so, i would try to upgrade only the SSD and a NUC-Element, - i already got an idea how to do, as i enjoy experiments. But if the Push is only able to use the processor with the battery assembled and there are no benefits while it is connected to a computer... than its nothing what i should spend time with.

Maybe somebody is able to help me figuring this dilemma out.

When the Push is used as a controller, the internal computer is not active. It behaves just like a Push 2. The computer is only working when the Push is used standalone.
