When will Ableton support ARM cpu on windows?

Post by ohm-ish » Tue Aug 13, 2024 7:48 pm

More and more windows laptops have ARM cpu (snapdragon for example, they are everywhere)
I'm thinking of getting one. But I gotta be sure some things will work
As I understood, Ableton can’t be used with ARM yet, right?
Or does it just not work natively but can run with emulation?
Has anyone here tried Ableton on ARM windows computer?
Feel free to share your experience here :)

I bought a new Microsoft Surface Pro assuming it would work but the uploader won't let anything that isn't an i5 or i7. Sent a message to support but they didn't seem that bothered. I use Traktor software for other music stuff and it works fine on the ARM architecture.
Pretty depressing: I have a superb new computer and can't use Ableton on it.

I ran into the same issue. It's unclear whether the installer's system requirements check is faulty or Live can't run in Prism. It's a shame Ableton won't elaborate on this.
