Launch Control XL/control volume of instruments in a Instrument Rack

Does anybody knows why it's not possible to control the volume of instruments in a Instrument Rack with the Launch Control XL? I'm only able to control the volume of the Instrument Rack itself and than the volume of the midi/audiotrack next to it.

You can control when bluehand is on.
Click on the Inst title bar
Make sure LCXL is Preset 1
then press Device button on LCXL
Bottom row of dials should turn red

Have the bottom row dials in red but nothing happens when I turn them?

Misunderstood your post. I thought you wanted to control the parameters of the instrument. But you want to control the volume of the rack/chain, I think.
