It would be amazing to be able to fade between clips on the same track, with a controllable fade time per track.
You could click play on a new clip, and the old one would fade out with a release time until silence, and the new one would fade in over the same period. Clip looping would be independent, it would simply start an attack envelope on the new clip, and a release on the previous.
The clip play and stop icon could indicate the fade using flashing, colour, or whatever.
It's easy to do with any polyphonic sampler that has volume envelopes, but it would great to be able to do it with Live clips.
It would really transform using session view, especially transitioning between scenes, with the option of doing hard cuts or a slow fade as desired.
I'm aware of the crossfader obviously, but it would be much better to simply click a scene slot and have all clips fade according to their set times. Ideally, times would specified be in bars/beats.
