MIDI clock sync

Post by forestcaver » Wed Oct 09, 2024 12:30 pm

Have I read the manual correctly? Can it only be a MIDI clock leader? It looks like it wont respond to an incoming midi clock… so no sync to an external midi clock. I wonder if it wont respond to midi transport signals either as I cant see mention of that but I dont know. Also unsure if it sends transport messages on midi out…
I really hope that it will soon respond to midi clock etc…. I bought it for the portability but it would be nice if it played nicely with op1/op-z/t1 as well as midibox seqv4 etc.

Yes - but that isnt any version of MIDI. IMany devices dont have Ableton Link built in and they use MIDI sync, clock and transport, rather than Ableton Link. So having Ableton Link on Move doesnt help address the lack of MIDI clock sync - or am I missing an important point in your post ? (I guess you could tap the pads on Move in time with a different sequencer as well but that isnt MIDI clock sync either... :-) )

No you don't.
I mentioned it because this might be a relevant info for other people searching about the sync topic.
