I'm currently running the most recent 12.1 version on my P3SA.
I assume most people are going with the built-in WiFi option for connectivity, so I just wanted to write my observations regarding WiFi versus using an Ethernet USB Adapter:
When you turn on WiFi in Standalone mode and leave it connected before switching to computer/DAW controller mode, the WiFi persists - which allows you to access your P3SA files within Ableton, while staying in Controller mode.
However I have noticed this seems to come at the cost of considerably more HEAT output from the backplate.
When you turn WiFi OFF in Standalone mode and connect a USB Hub with Ethernet instead, switching to computer/DAW controller mode presents a different scenario: The P3SA drive and files will not be visible within the desktop (or laptop) version of Ableton. In order to make your P3SA files visible, you must switch the P3SA back to Standalone mode.
In addition to that, you may also have to restart Ableton and/or enter a security code presented on screen.
The advantage of running the Ethernet adapter rather than WiFi seems to be considerable less HEAT output and the fact that your Push is not automatically connecting to the internet. But you will have to prompt it to receive OS and Packs updates.
If anyone has information to add to this it would be most appreciated.
